Default Cost of Armor

Can anyone who is in seared Ascalon tell me about how much scale/iron/gold each piece of Scale armor will cost me? I dont want to leave pre-searing until I have enough for a full set.

Prices scale depending on the quality of the armor you're getting. I'm not quite sure exactly what "Scale" armor is but in Ascalon City after the Searing you'll have your choice of two different crafters. One will sell you armor slightly better than what you'll have (I haven't checked them all but for a Warrior it was a jump from the 25/27+10AL to 35+20AL) and another who'll sell you the next step beyond that at a higher price (Again, Warrior's was 50+20AL). The later crafter has a bit more options and will craft attribute bonus headgear for you. At each crafter there's a "cheap" armor which is your profession's baseline set and "expensive" armors which are a little bit better than the baseline but a bit more expensive to crafter.

For example, again, for Warrior:
Crafter #1 -
Ringmail Boots (35+20AL) - 1 Iron, 50 Gold
Ascalon Boots (35+10AL, Reduces damage) - 2 Iron, 50 Gold

Crafter #2-
Ringmail Boots (50+20AL) - 2 Iron, 150 Gold
Ascalon Boots (50+10AL, Reduces damage) - 4 Iron, 1 Fur Square, 150 Gold

And so on. The gold cost is the same for each piece but the crafting materials can scale up. Boots and Gloves cost the same, so do the plain headpieces but the attribute adding ones can have some additional requirements (The Warrior's required Steel, for example). Chest pieces are generally requiring 300% of that. And Leggings 200%.

So depending on how nice a set you want you'll need something like 8~10 of of a crafting material and 250 gold or several materials, including some rare ones as well as 750 gold.
